In certain circumstances you can download presentations as PDF’s, but it will depend on the type of content in question, as there are some limitations regarding this. Companyapp presentations have dynamic, interactive and animated features that it is not possible to reproduce in a PDF, which is generally a static format. Therefore you will find that certain interactive or animated slides don’t work as intended in a PDF format.

Please note: PDF download functionality is not, by policy, active for all system users.

You cannot download a presentation as a PPT.

The recommended way to do this would be to use the Presenter Pro App – either the iPad or the Laptop version. With the Presenter Pro App you can download your presentations for offline use – so you can be sure that they will work in front of your client, without an internet connection.

It is possible to present to a client using the online viewer from the CMS, but please note, you will always need an internet connection for this.

The best format to use is a JPEG image. JPEG’s can be uploaded into the system as stand-alone files – or as a sequence of images

An aspect ratio is the ‘shape’ of the image or video. More technically it is the relationship between the width and the height. Aspect ratios are expressed as 2 numbers, separated by a colon e.g. 16:9. The first number is always the width and the second is always the height. Common aspect ratios are:

  • 16:9 – most modern computer monitors and TV’s are 16:9. Often this ratio is called ‘widescreen’.
  • 4:3 – this ‘squarer’ shape less common now with computer monitors, but is still used by many tablet devices (iPads etc).
  • 6:4 – This is the most common shape for still cameras and therefore most photographs you will be sent by a photographer will be in this aspect ratio. It is also used in computers – Microsoft Surface tablets for example – however it is usually referred to as a 3:2 aspect ratio. The shape however is, of course, the same.
